Gumpert
Gumpert was a German low-volume performance car manufacturer founded in 2004 by former Audi Sport executive Roland Gumpert. The company built its reputation around the Apollo, a mid-engine supercar developed with racing priorities rather than everyday comfort. Its twin-turbo V8, functional aerodynamics, and road-legal track focus made it one of the more uncompromising European supercars of its era. Gumpert vehicles targeted experienced drivers and collectors who valued lap-time capability, mechanical intensity, and rarity over luxury refinement. After the original company entered bankruptcy in 2013, its engineering legacy continued under Apollo Automobil, which developed a new generation of limited-production performance cars.
