Spyker

Spyker is a Dutch car brand associated with hand-built sports cars, aviation-inspired design, and limited production. Revived in 1999 by Victor Muller and Maarten de Bruijn, the modern company introduced the C8 Spyder with a lightweight aluminum structure, a mid-mounted Audi V8 engine, and distinctive exposed mechanical details. Later models, including the C8 Laviolette, C8 Aileron, and C8 Preliator, retained the brand’s propeller-themed styling, intricate interiors, and focus on driver involvement. Spyker also competed in motorsport and briefly owned Saab, though repeated financial difficulties disrupted vehicle production. Its cars were created for collectors seeking a rare European exotic with unconventional engineering and a strong visual connection to early aviation.
