The 2020–2022 ALPINA X7 XB7 took the idea of a luxury three-row SUV to an unusually high level of performance. Rather than turning the BMW X7 into a hard-edged sports SUV, ALPINA focused on creating a machine that could combine immense pace with the composure and comfort expected from a flagship family vehicle.

Its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 621 hp and 800 Nm, enough to propel this enormous seven-seat SUV to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and on to 290 km/h. Yet the XB7's appeal is not simply its straight-line speed. ALPINA reworked the chassis with air suspension, active roll stabilization and rear-wheel steering to make the large SUV feel considerably more controlled and agile than its size suggests.
