The BYD Seal Design approaches electric driving with a rear-wheel-drive layout that keeps the car's substantial battery platform connected to a more traditional sedan character. Its 230-kW electric powertrain delivers 308 hp and 266 lb-ft, enough for a 5.7-second 0–60 mph run and a 112-mph top speed. The 82.5-kWh battery is paired with direct drive, while an estimated 355-mile range gives the car strong long-distance potential.
