The Oka VAZ-11113 stands out as one of the smallest and most unconventional cars in Lada’s history, built around a simple idea: provide basic transportation in an exceptionally compact package. Its tiny footprint and three-door hatchback body made it well suited to crowded urban streets, while the lightweight construction kept its modest engine from having to work against much mass. Rather than chasing refinement or performance, the Oka focused on affordability, simplicity, and getting everyday driving done with very little car.
Its 0.7-liter two-cylinder engine produces 33 hp and 37 lb-ft, driving the front wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. With a top speed of 81 mph, performance is deliberately modest, but the compact hatchback offers 7.1–14.1 cubic feet of luggage space. The combination of tiny dimensions, low weight, and straightforward mechanicals gives this unusual little Lada its distinctive character.
