The 2012 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento represented Lamborghini’s extreme approach to lightweight supercar engineering. Its carbon-fiber construction, aggressive aerodynamic bodywork and rear-mid-engine layout were developed around minimizing weight, while the two-seat cabin and permanent all-wheel-drive system kept the focus firmly on performance. Built in very limited numbers, the Sesto Elemento combined advanced carbon-fiber technology with Lamborghini’s V10 power to create a radically lightweight machine with a distinctive track-focused character.
The 2012 Sesto Elemento uses a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 producing 562 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 2.4 seconds and top speed reaching 210 mph. Its 2,202-pound curb weight, rear-mid-engine layout and all-wheel drive give the Sesto Elemento an exceptionally strong performance foundation.
