Introduced with the facelifted Discovery Sport, the 2019–2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport D240 MHEV brings a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel together with mild-hybrid assistance. Rated at 236 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, it uses a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. As part of the first-generation L550 range, the D240 combines the updated Discovery Sport design with a strong diesel powertrain and the flexibility of a seven-seat cabin.

The D240's character is defined by effortless torque rather than aggressive performance. Its 136-mph top speed and 7.5-second 0–60 mph time give it plenty of pace for a family-oriented SUV, while the 107.9-inch wheelbase and five-door layout provide useful passenger and cargo flexibility.
