The CUPRA Born VZ turns the Born's compact electric-hatchback formula into something considerably more performance-focused. Its 240-kW rear-mounted motor produces 322 hp and 402 lb-ft, sending power exclusively to the rear wheels. That combination delivers a 5.4-second 0–60 mph time and a 124-mph top speed, while the 79-kWh usable battery offers a claimed 360-mile range. Direct drive keeps the response immediate, giving the VZ a distinctly sporty character without sacrificing its all-electric simplicity.

The 2024–2026 Born VZ also retains the everyday usability expected from a five-door hatchback. Five seats and 13.6–44.7 cubic feet of luggage space make it practical beyond performance driving, while MacPherson-strut front and multi-link rear suspension provide a capable chassis foundation.
