The 2025–2026 Alpine A290 GTS brings Alpine's lightweight, driver-focused philosophy into the electric hot-hatch segment. Its 52-kWh battery feeds a 160-kW electric motor producing 218 PS and 300 Nm, with power sent through a single-speed reduction drive to the front wheels. That is enough for a 0–100 km/h time of 6.4 seconds, giving the compact five-door genuine performance while retaining the practicality of a hatchback.
What distinguishes the GTS is the way Alpine has developed the chassis around that electric power. Brembo four-piston front calipers, a sport-oriented Alpine chassis and 19-inch Michelin performance tires give it a more purposeful character, while the compact dimensions and five-seat cabin keep it usable in everyday driving.
