The Seal 6 DM-i Boost is the lighter-battery entry point to BYD’s plug-in hybrid sedan range, emphasizing efficient everyday travel without giving up useful electric performance. Its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder works with a 145 kW electric motor, producing a combined 181 hp and 221 lb-ft. Front-wheel drive and a CVT accompany an 8.6-second 0–60 mph time and 112 mph top speed, while the 10.08 kWh Blade Battery provides 34 miles of electric range.

The 2025–2026 sedan keeps its hardware relatively compact, with 17-inch wheels, MacPherson front suspension and a multi-link rear arrangement.
