The Seal 6 DM-i Comfort is built around a simple idea: make plug-in hybrid technology work naturally in a conventional family sedan. Its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder acts as part of a front-wheel-drive hybrid system producing 156 kW, while the 19 kWh Blade Battery allows up to 65 miles of electric driving in the U.S. specification. A 112 mph top speed and 8.2-second 0–60 mph time give it enough performance for everyday use without making speed the central theme.

The 2025–2026 Comfort combines that powertrain with MacPherson front suspension, multi-link rear suspension and 18-inch wheels. Its four-door cabin seats five, while the 17.3–48.4 ft³ luggage area adds useful flexibility. At 3,891 pounds, the sedan carries substantially more hardware than a conventional gasoline model, but the larger battery enables a quieter, electric-first driving experience. BYD quotes a 105 km WLTP electric range and 1,455 km combined range for this specification.
