MSRP:$850,000 – $1,100,000
The De Tomaso P72 was conceived as a modern tribute to the marque’s racing heritage, but its appeal goes beyond nostalgia. Its flowing bodywork and dramatic proportions deliberately echo the spirit of the 1965 P70, while the cabin takes a deliberately analogue approach in an era dominated by screens and electronic driving modes. The result is a supercar that feels designed around the relationship between driver, machine and mechanical sound rather than digital complexity.
For 2026–2027, the P72 entered production with a carbon-fibre chassis and a supercharged Ford Coyote V8 developed for De Tomaso. The 700-hp engine drives the rear wheels exclusively through a six-speed manual transmission, preserving the tactile character that defines the car. Production is planned around just 72 examples, giving the P72 an exclusivity that complements its bespoke character. Rather than simply reviving an old name, De Tomaso has used the P72 to reinterpret its heritage through a distinctly modern, highly individual supercar.
