The Dodge Viper RT/10 is an uncompromising sports roadster powered by a naturally aspirated 8.0-liter V10 producing 400 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Its front-mounted longitudinal engine uses an OHV 20-valve design with multi-point fuel injection, sending power through a 6-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. The result is a 4.4-second 0–60 mph time and a 165-mph top speed, with peak power arriving at 4,600 rpm and peak torque at 3,600 rpm. With a 3,516-pound curb weight, the Viper has an 8.8 lb/hp power-to-weight ratio.
The 1992–1995 roadster pairs its performance-focused layout with two-seat practicality and 11.8 ft³ of luggage capacity. Double-wishbone suspension is used at both ends, while vented disc brakes and 275/40 ZR17 front and 335/35 ZR17 rear tyres provide the road contact. Measuring 175.1 inches long with a 96.2-inch wheelbase, the Viper is 75.7 inches wide and just 44 inches high. Its 21.9-gallon fuel tank supports a 368-mile total range, while 16.8 mpg combined economy completes the specification of this low-slung American performance roadster.
