The Mazda Xedos 6 introduced a more refined and distinctive character to Mazda’s compact executive sedan range in the early 1990s. Its four-door body and five-seat cabin combined everyday practicality with understated styling, while the front-wheel-drive layout and transverse V6 gave it a relatively compact mechanical package. The Xedos 6 stood apart from more conventional family sedans of its era by pairing its comfortable proportions with smooth six-cylinder performance and a more premium character.
The 1992–1994 Mazda Xedos 6 uses a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter V6 producing 142 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 9.0 seconds and 0–62 mph taking 9.3 seconds. Top speed reaches 134 mph, giving the Xedos 6 a balanced combination of smooth performance, compact executive comfort and everyday usability.
