The Mazda Xedos 6 2.0i continued the model’s refined approach to the compact executive sedan, combining understated styling with smooth V6 performance. Its four-door body and five-seat cabin provided everyday practicality, while the front-wheel-drive layout and transverse engine kept the mechanical package relatively compact. The Xedos 6 stood apart from ordinary family sedans of the period with its more premium character and naturally aspirated six-cylinder powertrain.
The 1994–1999 Mazda Xedos 6 2.0i uses a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter V6 producing 138 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. A four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 9.0 seconds and 0–62 mph taking 9.3 seconds. Top speed reaches 133 mph, giving the Xedos 6 a balanced combination of smooth performance, comfort and everyday usability.
