The TVR Sagaris stands out among British sports coupes for its unconventional bodywork, dramatic proportions and uncompromising mechanical layout. Its sculpted exterior, distinctive bonnet vents and unusual rear styling give it an identity quite different from more conventional performance cars. Beneath that distinctive design is a front-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration, supported by double-wishbone suspension at both ends. The compact two-seat cabin and five-speed manual gearbox reinforce its purpose as a focused driver's coupe.
Produced from 2005–2006, the Sagaris uses a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-six engine with a DOHC valvetrain, 24 valves and multi-point fuel injection. It produces 395 hp at 7,000 rpm and 333 lb-ft of torque at 5,250 rpm. Power is delivered through a five-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. AutoSpecsHub lists a 0–60 mph time of 3.8 seconds, a 0–62 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a 186 mph top speed. Its luggage capacity is 13.1 cubic feet.
