2005–2006 Audi AG TT Coupé Clubsport Specs & Performance

The Clubsport was the point where Audi stripped the original TT back to its essentials and gave its 1.8T engine a substantial performance upgrade. The 2005–2006 special edition produced 237 hp and 236 lb-ft, sending power through a six-speed manual to all four wheels. Weight reduction was central to the concept: Audi removed the rear bench, spare wheel and other equipment, while Recaro bucket seats and a structural brace reinforced its more focused purpose. The result was a 155-mph Coupé capable of 5.9 seconds from 0–62 mph.

The details made this version markedly different from an ordinary TT. Exclusive 18-inch wheels carried 235/40 R18 tires, the suspension sat 20 mm lower, and the car received larger V6-derived bodywork and red brake calipers. Inside, Alcantara, lightweight seating and the absence of a rear bench emphasized the reduction in luxury equipment. With quattro traction and a 1.8-liter turbo engine producing 240 PS, the Clubsport became a limited-production interpretation of the TT that prioritized lower mass, sharper responses and driver involvement over conventional four-seat practicality.
