2005–2006 Audi AG TT Roadster 1.8 T quattro 225 Specs & Performance

The 1.8 T quattro 225 gave the TT Roadster a stronger performance identity without abandoning the compact, turbocharged formula that defined the original car. The 2005–2006 facelift-era version used a 1.8-liter 20-valve inline-four developing 222 hp and 207 lb-ft, paired with a six-speed manual and all-wheel drive. With a 147-mph top speed and 6.7-second 0–60 mph time, it offered a meaningful step beyond the lower-output front-wheel-drive Roadsters.

What set this version apart was the combination of turbocharged punch and quattro traction. Multi-link rear suspension complemented the MacPherson-strut front arrangement, while ventilated discs at both ends supported its more performance-oriented specification. The two-seat cabin remained compact and the 7.8-cubic-foot luggage area preserved some practicality, but the six-speed gearing and all-wheel-drive system gave the TT a more assured character when driven hard. It was a fitting high-output interpretation of Audi’s distinctive first-generation roadster formula.
