2005–2006 Audi AG TT Coupé 1.8 T quattro 225 Specs & Performance

By the final phase of the original TT’s life, the 1.8 T quattro 225 had become a well-developed blend of compact dimensions, turbocharged performance and all-weather traction. The 2005–2006 facelift version retained the 1.8-liter 20-valve four-cylinder, producing 222 hp and 207 lb-ft, with a six-speed manual driving all four wheels. Its 151-mph top speed and 6.4-second 0–60 mph time gave this compact Coupé enough pace to sit comfortably alongside the more powerful TT variants.

The quattro system was central to the car’s character, using Haldex-based all-wheel drive to manage traction while MacPherson-strut front and multi-link rear suspension maintained the TT’s familiar chassis layout. Ventilated discs at both ends, 17-inch performance tires and the compact 2+2 cabin completed a package that balanced driving ability with everyday usability. With up to 19.1 cubic feet of luggage capacity, it was also more practical than its rounded sports-coupé silhouette suggested. The result was a mature final-generation expression of Audi’s original TT formula.
