The 2012–2013 Lotus Evora GTE took the Evora concept into a more focused performance direction, combining a sleek grand tourer coupe body with a powerful supercharged V6 and rear-mid-engine layout. Its two-seat configuration and rear-wheel drive keep the emphasis on driving involvement, while the relatively substantial body and usable luggage space give it more road-going versatility than Lotus models built purely around minimalism. The result is a distinctive combination of grand-touring proportions and serious performance.
A 3.5-liter supercharged V6 produces 438 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive. With a curb weight of 2,813 lb, the Evora GTE reaches 167 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Double-wishbone suspension and vented disc brakes at both ends complement the rear-mid-engine layout, giving the GTE a strong balance between high-speed capability and the responsive chassis character associated with Lotus.
