The 2017–2020 Land Rover Discovery SD4 belongs to the fifth-generation Discovery (L462), bringing a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel into Land Rover's significantly redesigned large SUV. Producing 237 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, the SD4 uses an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Its five-door body and flexible seating arrangement give the L462 a practical family-oriented character, while the new aluminum-intensive platform marked a major evolution from the previous Discovery.
