The 2018–2021 Alpina X3 XD3 takes the practical BMW X3 and turns it into something far more serious: a high-performance diesel SUV engineered around ALPINA’s understated approach to speed. At its heart is a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel with an unusual quad-turbocharger setup, producing 388 hp and a formidable 770 Nm of torque. That output is managed through an eight-speed ZF Sport Automatic transmission with ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC and all-wheel drive, giving the XD3 the ability to reach 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and continue to a 267 km/h top speed.
What makes the XD3 particularly distinctive is how discreetly it delivers this performance.
