The 2019–2021 Alpine A110 S takes the lightweight A110 concept in a more focused direction, adding sharper chassis tuning and extra power without abandoning the model's emphasis on agility. Its mid-mounted 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 288 hp and 320 Nm, while a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sends the output to the rear wheels. With a low curb weight of around 1,100 kg, the A110 S can reach 100 km/h in about 4.4 seconds, giving it the pace to match its more purposeful character.

Much of the S's appeal comes from how Alpine changed the car around that engine. Firmer springs, revised dampers, thicker anti-roll bars and a lower ride height give it more precise responses, while larger brakes and performance-focused tires provide additional confidence when the road becomes demanding. The result is not simply a more powerful A110, but a carefully sharpened version of the lightweight sports-car formula. Its combination of low mass, mid-engine balance and rear-wheel drive gives the 2019–2021 A110 S a distinctive driving character that remains very different from heavier, power-focused rivals.
