The 2017–2026 Alpine A110 marked the return of one of France's most celebrated sports-car names, reviving the spirit of the original Berlinette in a thoroughly modern package. Its compact aluminum construction, mid-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive were chosen around one central idea: keeping the car light and agile rather than chasing sheer power. The 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 252 PS and 320 Nm, working with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission to deliver strong performance while preserving the car's approachable character.

The modern A110 also stayed faithful to Alpine's emphasis on everyday usability. Double-wishbone suspension at both ends, a low 1,103-kg DIN weight and carefully developed aerodynamics give it the balance to feel engaging on winding roads without becoming unnecessarily harsh. The original Première Edition could reach 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and 250 km/h, while its two-seat cabin and compact proportions reinforced the lightweight sports-car philosophy.
