Built around a conventional hybrid system rather than a plug-in setup, the 2021–present Lynk & Co 01 HEV offers a different route to efficient compact-SUV motoring. Its five-door, five-seat layout provides the practicality expected from the class, while the combination of a turbocharged petrol engine and electric assistance delivers responsive performance without requiring external charging. Front-wheel drive keeps the package familiar for everyday use, making the 01 HEV suited to urban driving as well as longer trips.

Under the bonnet, a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine works with an electric motor to produce 197 hp and 162 lb-ft of combined torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels, and the hybrid system uses a 1.8-kWh battery to support its petrol engine. The SUV reaches 124 mph and takes 8.0 seconds to reach 60 mph. With MacPherson struts at the front, a multi-link rear suspension, and up to 1,213 liters of luggage capacity, the 01 HEV combines useful practicality with a relatively compact footprint.
