The 2021–present Lynk & Co 01 PHEV approaches the compact SUV segment with a plug-in hybrid setup that blends petrol power with meaningful electric capability. Its five-door body and five-seat cabin make it practical for everyday family use, while the front-wheel-drive layout keeps the mechanical package relatively straightforward. The ability to travel on electric power for shorter journeys also gives the 01 PHEV a different character from conventional petrol-powered compact SUVs, particularly for drivers who can make regular use of charging.
A 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine works with an electric motor to produce 257 hp and 313 lb-ft of combined torque. The seven-speed automatic transmission drives the front wheels, while the 14.1-kWh net battery provides up to 42 miles of electric range. MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension help balance everyday comfort with controlled handling, and the 466–1,213-liter luggage capacity gives the 01 PHEV useful flexibility when carrying passengers or cargo.
