The Gemera TFG is one of Koenigsegg’s boldest attempts to redefine the idea of a grand tourer. Instead of a large V8, its original powertrain centers on the remarkably compact Tiny Friendly Giant three-cylinder engine, using Freevalve technology and electric assistance to create hypercar-level performance. Yet the Gemera was designed around four occupants and useful luggage space, making its unusual engineering serve a surprisingly practical purpose. That contrast—extreme output combined with genuine four-seat usability—is what separates the TFG from conventional two-seat hypercars.
For 2024, the Gemera TFG combines a 2.0-liter twin-turbo three-cylinder with three electric motors for a combined 1,700 hp and 2,583 lb-ft of torque. Koenigsegg’s Direct Drive system works with all-wheel drive, while 0–60 mph takes 1.8 seconds and top speed reaches 249 mph. The TFG itself produces 600 hp, while the electric system supplies the additional power needed for its extraordinary combined output.
