The AC Cobra GT Roadster V8 reinterprets the marque's iconic roadster formula with modern engineering while retaining the long bonnet, muscular proportions and open-top character associated with the Cobra name. Its carbon-fibre bodywork sits on an extruded aluminium monocoque chassis designed to provide structural rigidity without excessive weight. A front-mid-mounted engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and double-wishbone suspension at both ends give the car a traditional sports car configuration with contemporary chassis technology. The result is a handcrafted roadster that combines heritage-inspired styling with modern performance engineering.
Produced during 2025–2026, the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre Ford Coyote V8 develops 454 bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or optional ten-speed automatic transmission. With a claimed 0–62 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 173 mph, the Cobra GT Roadster delivers strong performance while maintaining the character of a front-engined, open-top sports car.
