The AC Cobra GT Roadster V8 S takes the familiar Cobra roadster formula into a more powerful and technologically advanced territory. Its long bonnet, muscular bodywork and open two-seat layout preserve the visual character of the original Cobra, while a lightweight carbon-fibre body sits over an extruded aluminium monocoque chassis. The front-mid-engine arrangement and rear-wheel-drive configuration maintain a traditional sports car layout, supported by double-wishbone suspension at both ends. Hand-finished details and modern engineering give this roadster a distinctive blend of heritage-inspired design and contemporary performance.
Produced during 2025–2026, the V8 S is powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre Ford Coyote V8 producing 654 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 575 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or optional ten-speed automatic transmission. Its claimed 0–62 mph acceleration time of 3.4 seconds and top speed of 173 mph demonstrate the substantial performance advantage of the supercharged configuration.
