The 1996–1997 Alfa Romeo 155 1.8 Twin Spark 16V S is a first-generation performance-oriented sedan powered by a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter inline-four gasoline engine. It produces 140 hp and 121 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. With four doors and five seats, it retains the practicality of the 155 while the 16-valve Twin Spark engine gives it a stronger performance focus.
The S specification adds a sportier edge to the 155's compact sedan format.
