The Rolls-Royce Corniche returned the marque to open-top motoring with a modern shape wrapped around traditional British luxury. Its long body, formal front styling, and power-operated soft top gave it a commanding presence, while the richly appointed cabin emphasized comfort and handcrafted detail. Although its appearance echoed the Silver Seraph, this exclusive convertible was based on the Bentley Azure platform, giving it a distinct place in Rolls-Royce history. It was designed for relaxed, prestigious touring rather than sharp-edged sports-car performance.
For 2000–2002, the Corniche used a turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 producing 321 hp and 544 lb-ft of torque. A four-speed automatic transmission sent power to the rear wheels, delivering smooth acceleration and effortless cruising. With seating for four, it combined open-air enjoyment with the space and refinement expected of a flagship luxury convertible.
