The Maybach 57 marked the return of the Maybach name to the ultra-luxury sedan market, combining imposing proportions with an exceptionally refined four-seat cabin. Its long, formal body was designed around passenger comfort, with a lavish interior and substantial road presence that placed it firmly among the world’s most prestigious sedans. Beneath the restrained exterior, a front-mounted V12 and rear-wheel-drive layout provided the effortless performance expected from a flagship limousine.
The 2003–2010 Maybach 57 uses a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 producing 542 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 5.0 seconds and 0–62 mph taking 5.2 seconds. Top speed reaches 155 mph, giving the Maybach 57 an impressive combination of exceptional luxury, effortless power and high-speed capability.
