The 9ff GT9 Vmax takes the Porsche-based GT9 concept to an extreme, with extensive aerodynamic revisions and lightweight construction developed around exceptionally high-speed performance. Its elongated roofline, reshaped rear bodywork and carbon-fibre panels distinguish it from the standard GT9, while polycarbonate rear and side windows help reduce weight. Beneath the dramatic exterior, a rear-mid-engine layout and rear-wheel-drive configuration retain the familiar foundations of a purpose-built supercar. The result is an individually engineered machine designed to push the limits of road-going performance.
Introduced in 2012, the GT9 Vmax features a twin-turbocharged 4.2-litre flat-six engine producing 1,381 hp at 7,950 rpm and 856 lb-ft of torque at 5,600 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels. With a claimed 0–62 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a published top speed of 272 mph, it combines extraordinary output with a reported curb weight of just 2,954 pounds.
