The CUPRA Formentor 1.4 e-Hybrid 204 uses plug-in hybrid technology to give the compact crossover a useful combination of electric driving and petrol-powered flexibility. Its 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder works with an electric motor to produce 201 hp and 258 lb-ft, sending power through a six-speed transmission to the front wheels. A 7.5-second 0–60 mph time and 127-mph top speed give it enough performance for everyday driving, while the 12.8-kWh net battery allows up to 35 miles of electric travel.
The 2021–2024 Formentor e-Hybrid retains the practicality expected from a five-seat crossover, with 12.2–49.4 cubic feet of luggage capacity. The plug-in system is the defining feature here: it can handle shorter journeys using electric power while retaining the petrol engine for longer trips. That makes this version less about outright performance and more about combining useful electric capability with the flexibility of a conventional powertrain in a compact SUV package.
