The Polestar 2 Single offers a distinctive alternative to conventional premium hatchbacks, combining the practicality of a five-door fastback with the smooth, quiet character of electric propulsion. Its sculpted body, restrained Scandinavian styling, and driver-focused cockpit give it a purposeful appearance without relying on excessive design flourishes. Rear-wheel drive also gives this version a different character from earlier front-wheel-drive Polestar 2 models, creating a more engaging balance between everyday comfort and responsive handling. The result is an electric car suited to commuting and longer trips while retaining a premium, performance-minded personality.
For 2023–2026, the Polestar 2 Single uses a rear-mounted electric motor producing 268 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. Its 67 kWh usable battery provides a claimed range of 330 miles, supporting regular commuting and longer journeys between charges. Acceleration from 0–60 mph takes a reported 6.2 seconds, giving the fastback brisk response without positioning it as the range's high-performance flagship. By combining rear-wheel-drive dynamics with practical passenger and luggage space, this version delivers a balanced approach to everyday electric driving.
