The Talbot 1510 LS was a practical five-door family hatchback from the final phase of the 1510 range. Its long wheelbase and fastback profile provided useful passenger space and a generous rear opening, making it more versatile than a conventional three-box saloon. Front-wheel drive and a straightforward Simca-derived engine kept the mechanical package familiar, while the restrained LS specification focused on everyday transport rather than luxury or sporting performance.
Its 1,294 cc naturally aspirated four-cylinder produces 54 hp at 5,200 rpm and 71 lb·ft of torque at 2,800 rpm. The OHV engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. With a five-door body and seating for five, the 1980–1982 LS prioritises space and economy over acceleration, offering a straightforward approach to family motoring.
