The Jensen Interceptor III continued the marque’s muscular grand-touring tradition with a dramatic fastback body and a larger 7.2-liter naturally aspirated V8. Its front-mounted OHV V8 produces 330 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm, sending power to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. For 1971–1976, the Interceptor III reaches a listed 135 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 7.5 seconds, giving this British grand tourer a strong blend of effortless power and distinctive character.
A MacPherson-strut front suspension and live rear axle are paired with vented disc brakes at both ends and 205/70R15 tyres. The four-seat cabin offers 15.9 ft³ of luggage space, while the 3,505-pound curb weight gives the fastback substantial road presence. Measuring 188 inches long with a 105-inch wheelbase, it has a 24-gallon fuel tank and a listed 10 mpg combined economy, resulting in a 240-mile total range.
