MSRP:$140,000 – $200,000
The 1971 Jensen S.P. (Six Pack) represented the more powerful side of Jensen’s Interceptor-based grand touring formula, combining a dramatic fastback body with a large-displacement American V8. Its long, low proportions and rear-wheel-drive layout gave it the presence expected of a traditional grand tourer, while the Six Pack specification pushed performance further with a formidable naturally aspirated engine. With its two-door body and four-seat cabin, the S.P. remained a distinctive blend of luxury, speed, and old-school mechanical character.
For 1971–1973, the Jensen S.P. (Six Pack) uses a naturally aspirated 7.2-liter V8 producing 385 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm. A 3-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, helping the grand tourer reach 145 mph and accelerate from 0–60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Its 9.2 mpg combined economy reflects the substantial displacement, while the 3,556-pound curb weight gives the S.P. a serious performance-oriented character.
