The Jensen Interceptor represents an early chapter in the marque’s grand-touring history, pairing elegant two-door proportions with a substantial 4.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-six. Its Austin D-Series engine produces 130 hp at 3,700 rpm and 212 lb-ft of torque at 2,200 rpm, sending power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. For 1952–1957, the Interceptor reaches a listed 95 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 13 seconds, giving this classic British coupé a relaxed but purposeful road-going character.
Its double-wishbone front suspension and live rear axle are paired with drum brakes at both ends and 600 × 16 tyres. The four-seat cabin provides 25 ft³ of luggage space, while the 3,247-pound curb weight contributes to its substantial touring presence. Measuring 188 inches long with a 112.2-inch wheelbase, the Interceptor has a 12.9-gallon fuel tank, a listed 20 mpg combined economy, and a 258-mile total range.
