The 1972–1976 Lamborghini Urraco P250 marked Lamborghini’s move into a more compact mid-engine sports coupe. Its sleek fastback body, four-seat cabin and rear-mid-engine layout gave it a distinctive character, while the P250 introduced Lamborghini’s first production V8-powered model. Designed around a balance of performance and everyday usability, the P250 combined Italian styling with compact proportions and a mechanical layout that would influence Lamborghini’s later V8 sports cars.
The 1972–1976 Urraco P250 uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter V8 producing 217 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 6.7 seconds and top speed reaching 143 mph. Its rear-mid-engine layout, four-seat cabin and lightweight construction give the Urraco P250 a distinctive performance foundation.
