The 1975–1979 Lamborghini Urraco P300 marked a significant development of Lamborghini’s compact mid-engine sports coupe. Its sleek fastback body, four-seat layout and rear-mid-engine configuration gave it a distinctive character, while the P300 brought a larger V8 and further refinement to the Urraco formula. The combination of Italian styling, compact dimensions and mid-engine balance made the P300 an important part of Lamborghini’s early effort to create a more accessible sports car.
The 1975–1979 Urraco P300 uses a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V8 producing 261 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 5.4 seconds and top speed reaching 155 mph. Its rear-mid-engine layout, four-seat cabin and relatively lightweight construction give the Urraco P300 a distinctive performance foundation.
