The Jensen Interceptor marked a dramatic shift toward muscular British grand touring, pairing its distinctive fastback body with a front-mounted 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8. The engine produces 325 hp at 4,600 rpm and 425 lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpm, sending power to the rear wheels through either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. For 1966–1969, the Interceptor reaches a listed 139 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 6.5 seconds, giving this elegant fastback genuinely strong performance for its era.
A MacPherson-strut front suspension and live rear axle support the chassis, with disc brakes at both ends and 670 × 15 tyres. The four-seat cabin offers 15.9 ft³ of luggage space, while the 3,505-pound curb weight contributes to its substantial grand-touring presence. Measuring 188 inches long with a 105-inch wheelbase, it carries a 19-gallon fuel tank and returns a listed 10.8 mpg combined, giving the Jensen a 205-mile total range.
