The Mazda Xedos 9 2.0 brought a refined and understated character to Mazda’s large-sedan range during the 1990s. Its four-door body and five-seat cabin emphasized comfort and practicality, while the front-wheel-drive layout and transverse engine gave the executive sedan a straightforward mechanical configuration. The naturally aspirated V6 provided smooth power delivery, making the Xedos 9 2.0 a comfortable alternative to more conventional executive sedans of its era.
The 1994–2000 Mazda Xedos 9 2.0 uses a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter V6 producing 141 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels, with 0–60 mph taking 10.4 seconds and 0–62 mph taking 10.7 seconds. Top speed reaches 126 mph, giving the Xedos 9 a balanced combination of smooth performance, everyday usability and executive-sedan comfort.
