The Pagani Zonda C12 S helped establish Pagani as a serious force in the supercar world, combining dramatic Italian styling with the engineering expertise of Mercedes-AMG. Its low, sculpted body, exposed mechanical details and carefully finished cockpit reflect Horacio Pagani's philosophy of treating automotive design as both art and science. The 2000–2002 model range introduced a more powerful interpretation of the original Zonda, giving the car a distinctive identity built around craftsmanship, naturally aspirated performance and an unmistakable V12 soundtrack.
At its heart is a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter Mercedes-AMG V12 producing 542 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox sends power to the rear wheels, offering a direct and engaging connection between driver and machine. With a top speed of 208 mph, the C12 S delivers serious performance without relying on turbocharging. Its combination of a high-capacity engine, lightweight construction and bespoke detailing helped establish the foundations of Pagani's enduring hypercar legacy.
