1999–2000 Aston Martin Virage V8 Vantage Le Mans V600 Specs & Performance

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Le Mans V600 was the ultimate expression of the Newport Pagnell-era Vantage formula, created to mark the 40th anniversary of Aston Martin’s historic Le Mans victory. For 1999–2000, the limited-production V600 received a specially prepared 5.3-liter supercharged V8 producing 600 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, giving this imposing grand tourer a remarkably direct connection between its enormous engine and the road. With a 200 mph top speed and 4.6-second 0–62 mph acceleration, the V600 delivered supercar-level performance while retaining the substantial presence of a traditional Aston Martin.

The Le Mans edition was distinguished by more than its power increase. Aston Martin gave it a more aggressive front air dam, blanked-off grille, wing vents inspired by the DBR1 and a revised rear spoiler incorporating the reversing and high-intensity lights. Inside, brushed metal replaced traditional wood trim, reinforcing its sporting intent. Production was limited to just 40 examples, making the V600 exceptionally scarce even within Aston Martin’s low-volume history. Its combination of immense supercharged torque, restrained British styling and motorsport-inspired details makes it one of the most memorable and collectible versions of the Virage-based V8 Vantage.
