The Aston Martin Virage Volante brought the elegance of a modern grand tourer into an open-air setting, combining the marque’s traditional craftsmanship with a more contemporary approach to performance. For 2012–2013, its naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 produced 490 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, with power delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The result was a convertible designed around effortless speed rather than outright aggression, with a 155 mph top speed and 4.6-second 0–62 mph acceleration. Its long bonnet, low stance and two-seat-plus-rear-seat configuration gave it the character of a sophisticated British GT.

The Volante’s appeal came from the balance between grand-touring comfort and serious chassis hardware. Double-wishbone suspension at both ends, carbon-ceramic disc brakes and wide 20-inch tires gave the car the composure needed to handle its substantial performance, while adaptive damping allowed its character to be adjusted for different driving conditions.
