The Ultima Evolution Convertible LS3 takes a different route to extreme performance than its more powerful supercharged and LS7 siblings. Its naturally aspirated Chevrolet-derived V8 provides a direct, linear character, while the rear-mid-engine arrangement keeps the powertrain close to the driven wheels. A removable roof section gives the Targa body an open-air feel without changing the car’s compact, purpose-built proportions. Double-wishbone suspension at both ends and a six-speed manual gearbox reinforce its driver-focused engineering.
Across the 2015–2026 production listing, the 6.2-litre LS3 develops 480 hp and 479 lb·ft of torque. That output is paired with a remarkably low listed weight of 2,050 pounds, helping the two-seat machine reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. With a claimed 180 mph top speed, the LS3 delivers serious performance without forced induction.
