The Pagani Zonda C12 introduced a striking new vision of the Italian supercar, bringing together Mercedes-Benz engineering and Horacio Pagani's belief that automotive design should unite art with science. Its low, sculpted bodywork draws inspiration from the Silver Arrows racing cars, while the exposed V12 beneath the rear carbon-fiber bonnet gives the machine a distinctive mechanical presence. As Pagani's first production supercar, the C12 established the design philosophy and handcrafted character that would define the marque's later creations.
Spanning the 1999–2000 model years, the original Zonda C12 uses a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 394 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox sends power to the rear wheels, delivering a direct driving experience shaped by the engine's smooth, high-capacity power delivery. Its carbon-fiber monocoque combines structural strength with lightweight construction, helping establish the foundations of Pagani's distinctive approach to performance and craftsmanship.
