The Mosler MT900S was built around a simple but ambitious idea: create an American supercar that could challenge established European exotics through lightweight construction and purposeful engineering. Its low nose, compact cabin and wide rear haunches give it a focused, almost competition-bred appearance, while the mid-engine layout places the mechanical heart of the car close to its center. Unlike supercars that rely heavily on luxury or visual drama, the MT900S prioritizes speed, balance and an unfiltered driving experience. Its rarity adds to its appeal, representing an unconventional chapter in American performance-car history when a small manufacturer pursued supercar credentials outside the mainstream.
Spanning 2001–2006, the MT900S uses a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V8 producing 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Mounted behind the cabin, the engine drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The lightweight, two-seat coupe reaches a claimed top speed of 190 mph and accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds, combining substantial V8 power with a chassis designed for serious performance.
