The Maybach 62 S elevated the already imposing 62 into a more performance-focused expression of ultra-luxury motoring. Its exceptionally long body and spacious four-seat cabin remained centered on rear-passenger comfort, while the S designation brought stronger performance and a more assertive character. The combination of massive proportions, refined materials and a powerful front-mounted V12 made the 62 S one of the most commanding luxury sedans of its era.
The 2007–2010 Maybach 62 S uses a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 producing 604 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, with both 0–60 mph and 0–62 mph taking 5.0 seconds. Top speed reaches 155 mph, giving the 62 S an exceptional blend of limousine comfort and effortless high-speed performance.
